Biography
David
Lee Murphy was born in Illinois, and moved to Nashvilled
in 1983. He struggled to make it to the top, until
1992 when he was signed to MCA records. He was nominated
for the top new male vocalist in 1995 by the ACM.
His biggest hits, dust on the bottle and party crowd,
came from his 1994 album, "out with a bang",
with Party Crowd the most played song of 1995.
He
followed up with the road you leave behind, but it
was not as successful as his first album.

Review by Janine Macdonald
I’d
never heard this guy before, and to be honest picked
up this song by accident. It’s not the type of
country music that I would probably go for, but I do
like it.
Murphy has more of a rock voice than a country voice,
but the blend seems to go very well together.
Definitely worth checking out more of his music.
I give it 3/5
